Our Flexible Acrylic Waterproof Coating is a single-component, water-borne elastomeric membrane engineered for exterior building envelopes. Formulated with cross-linking acrylic polymers and inert mineral fillers, the liquid cures upon water evaporation into a seamless, rubber-like barrier.
Unlike rigid cementitious waterproofing slurries, this coating accommodates structural thermal movement and dynamic micro-cracking up to 2.0 mm without losing seal integrity. Supplied in ready-to-use pails or drums, it applies via airless spray, roller, or brush, reducing labor hours on complex roof geometries and vertical penetrations.

Key Features
High Elasticity & Thermal Recovery: Maintains structural integrity under freeze-thaw cycles and diurnal thermal expansion/contraction of concrete and metal substrates.
UV & Solar Reflectance: Pigmented with rutile titanium dioxide (TiO2), achieving a Solar Reflectance Index (SRI) > 100 for white formulations, reducing interior cooling loads.
Vapor Permeable: Prevents liquid water ingress while allowing trapped sub-surface moisture vapor to escape, mitigating blistering and delamination.
Low VOC & Eco-Friendly: Water-based formulation containing < 30 g/L volatile organic compounds, complying with SCAQMD Rule 1113.
Seamless Monolithic Layer: Eliminates lap joints and mechanical fasteners, removing common failure points associated with sheet membranes.
Application Areas
Commercial & Industrial Roofs: Maintenance coating over aged built-up roofs (BUR), metal standing seam panels, polyurethane foam, and modified bitumen membranes.
Podium Decks & Balconies: Concealed waterproofing membrane applied beneath cementitious screeds and ceramic tile beds.
Exterior Masonry Walls: Breathable waterproofing barrier for precast concrete, brickwork, and exterior insulation finishing systems (EIFS).
Parapets & Flashing Details: Complex roof details, gutters, pipe penetrations, and skylight curbs where sheet membranes fail to conform.
Product Selection Guide
Selecting the correct grade depends on substrate geometry, mechanical traffic, and regional climate profiles.
Standard Grade (AC-100): Optimized for vertical walls and low-traffic pitched roofs. Standard elongation (350%) and solid content (65%).
Heavy-Duty Grade (AC-300): Formulated for horizontal flat roofs subject to standing water. Features reinforced micro-fibers, higher solid content (72%), and enhanced tensile strength (3.2 MPa).
Fast-Curing Grade (AC-FC): Designed for low-temperature or high-humidity job sites. Touch-dry within 2 hours, reducing rain-washout risks during seasonal application windows.
OEM & ODM / Customization
We support full-scale private label manufacturing for regional distributors and chemical brands.
Viscosity Tuning: Adjusted via thickener control for brush/roller application or high-output airless spray equipment.
Color Matching: Custom color batches available based on RAL or NCS color swatches (minimum order quantity applies).
Rheology Modification: Tailored anti-sag properties for high-build vertical wall applications.
Packaging Customization: HDPE pails (5 kg, 20 kg) and steel drums (200 kg) printed with client logo, barcode, and multilingual compliance labels.
Manufacturing & Quality Control
Raw Material Verification: Incoming acrylic emulsions undergo strict batch testing for solid content, Brookfield viscosity, and pH value before entering production.
Dispersing Process: High-speed Cowles dissolvers and bead mills ensure uniform pigment dispersion and particle size distribution (D95 < 50 um).
Batch QC Inspection: Every production lot is tested for density, non-volatile matter, drying time, and film flexibility prior to packaging release.
Traceability: Permanent batch numbering system stamped on packaging links directly to raw material test certificates and production logs.
Packaging & Storage
Standard Packaging:
20 kg plastic pails (palletized, shrink-wrapped, 36 pails per wooden pallet).
200 kg lined steel drums.
Storage Conditions: Store in dry, shaded warehouses between +5°C and +35°C. Protect from freezing and direct sunlight.
Shelf Life: 12 months in unopened original containers. Stir thoroughly before use if minor settling occurs during extended storage.
FAQ
Q: Can this coating be applied directly to rusted metal roof panels?
A: No. Rusted steel surfaces require mechanical wire-brushing or abrasive blasting to remove loose scale, followed by an application of a rust-inhibiting anti-corrosive primer before applying the acrylic topcoat.
Q: What is the recommended dry film thickness (DFT) per coat?
A: We recommend a wet film thickness (WFT) of 0.8 mm per layer, yielding approximately 0.5 mm of dry film. A minimum two-coat system is required to achieve a total DFT of 1.0 mm to 1.2 mm.
Q: Is reinforcement mesh required over joints and cracks?
A: Yes. For active cracks exceeding 1.0 mm, dynamic joints, and substrate transitions, embedding a non-woven polyester reinforcement fabric between the first and second wet coats is standard installation practice.
