Fleece-backed TPO waterproofing membrane is a thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) roofing membrane specifically designed for fully bonded roofing systems, particularly suitable for roof retrofit projects and complex substrate conditions. By laminating a layer of polyester fleece to the underside of the TPO membrane, the system offers superior adhesion, enhanced stress absorption, and greater tolerance to uneven or rough roof substrates, making it ideal for commercial, industrial, and high-risk roofing applications.
Fleece-backed TPO waterproofing membrane is a TPO waterproofing membrane with a factory-pre-bonded polyester fleece backing.
System Structure (from top to bottom):
- TPO Weatherproof Layer (UV resistant, reflective, durable)
- Reinforcing Layer (optional, depending on grade)
- TPO Bottom layer
- Polyester Backing
The backing itself does not act as a waterproofing layer. Its function is to act as an adhesive and stress-dispersing layer, allowing the adhesive to penetrate and mechanically lock into the fibers.
