Years of experience in the waterproof material industry, with cooperative clients all over the world

Recently, led by Yang Guiling, Vice Chairman of Jiangsu Osea Guard Technology Co., Ltd., a technical exchange meeting on building waterproofing was held for the Architects Branch of the Wuxi Survey and Design Association. Architects from the branch gathered to participate in the meeting, conducting in-depth technical discussions around national mandatory waterproofing specifications and full-scenario polymer waterproofing complete systems, and opening up a collaborative channel between architectural design and the application of new materials.

The Architect Branch of Wuxi Survey and Design Association brings together core architects from leading design institutions in Wuxi, and regularly organizes professional exchange activities such as standard implementation, new material research, rural revitalization, and low-carbon architecture. It serves as an authoritative academic exchange platform for the local architectural design industry.
At the meeting, OSEA Guard Waterproofing, with the "GB55030-2022 General Code for Waterproofing of Building and Municipal Engineering" as the core, systematically analyzed mandatory provisions related to waterproofing levels for underground, roof, and indoor projects, as well as thickness of membrane materials and structural layers, and identified high-frequency and error-prone nodes in the design phase. By combining local project types such as industrial plants, residential basements, and urban renewal and renovation in Wuxi, it clarified the material selection standards corresponding to each level of waterproofing, providing authoritative technical support for participating architects to issue compliant and long-lasting waterproofing design schemes.

This technical sharing fully introduces three complete sets of waterproofing systems, covering the design needs of various building conditions:

The first is the complete system of TPO/PVC/TPS steel-plastic integrated tile metal roofing.

Addressing the key issues of leakage, wind uplift, fire resistance, and weather resistance in aluminum-magnesium-manganese profiled steel sheet roofing, we delve into the core performance of dual-standard TPO and environmentally friendly PVC coils. The product has simultaneously passed FM International wind uplift resistance certification and B1 level flame retardant testing, and is backed by ASTM high-temperature aging testing to verify a 20-year durability lifespan. It comes with a full range of prefabricated welding accessories such as self-developed TPS steel-plastic integrated composite tiles, ridges, and plugs, forming a sealed and integrated waterproof structure. Combining real-world implementation cases in Wuxi and coastal typhoon areas, we demonstrate the advantages of secondary waterproofing and bottom protection, making it suitable for large-span public construction projects such as photovoltaic factories, large-scale commercial buildings, exhibition venues, and transportation hubs.

The second is the TPO repair system for old roofs that avoids demolition.

Disrupting the traditional high-cost and long-cycle construction process of demolition and renovation, the OSEA Guard TPO wet laying repair system can be directly installed on the existing roof substrate, eliminating the need for demolishing old roofs and disposing of construction waste. Equipped with infrared drones and smoke leakage detection equipment, it enables proactive and precise investigation of concealed water leakage points on the roof. The multi-colored customized TPO rolls balance waterproof performance with the aesthetics of the building facade. Sharing on-site practical engineering cases from scenic spots, commercial areas, cultural and sports venues, etc., it provides a new lightweight and short-cycle renovation design approach for Wuxi's urban renewal and transformation projects.

The third is the OXD composite waterproofing system.

Focusing on the construction difficulties of pile heads and irregular parts of bearing platforms, we have launched a combined system of DOB spray-applied tacky polymer coating and ECM waterproofing membrane. The membrane is flexible at low temperatures and adheres well to complex irregular substrates, with a bonding strength of up to 1.5N/mm, resisting the pulling force of backfill soil and preventing hollowing and detachment. The two-component spray coating forms a film immediately after application, forming a skin-like permanent bond with concrete. It possesses creep self-healing and microcrack sealing properties, addressing industry pain points such as material incompatibility in underground engineering, leakage at irregular joints, and low manual construction efficiency. It is fully compatible with standardized fortification for the entire area of basement floors, side walls, and roofs.

After the technical sharing session, an interactive Q&A session was held on site. The participating architects, drawing from projects such as Wuxi's industrial parks, subway supporting facilities, commercial complexes, and the renovation of old resettlement housing, inquired and exchanged ideas on practical issues such as the construction of membrane overlays, the connection between new and old roofs, standardized practices for pile head waterproofing, and the selection of material thicknesses for different waterproofing levels. The OSEA Guard waterproofing technology team provided standardized construction practices and supporting material combinations based on local climate and construction conditions, and distributed a full set of technical materials on site.

This special exchange meeting, leveraging the professional platform of the Architect Branch of Wuxi Survey and Design Association, has established a regular technical communication bridge between domestic polymer waterproof material research and development enterprises and the Wuxi architectural design industry. Moving forward, Jiangsu Osea Guard will continue to deeply explore polymer waterproof technology innovation, collaborate with the association and various design institutes across the city, and jointly refine a standardized waterproof design system that is durable, compliant, and economical. With a high-quality, full-scenario waterproof system, we aim to support the construction of various high-quality building projects in Wuxi.
