Description
Technical Parameters

This product is a capillary-active, cementitious waterproofing material engineered to counteract positive and negative hydrostatic pressure in structural concrete. Composed of Portland cement, graded quartz aggregate, and a proprietary reactive catalytic complex, it initiates a catalytic reaction in the presence of moisture and unhydrated free lime within concrete capillaries. This reaction generates non-soluble, needle-like calcium silicate hydrate (CSH) crystals that permanently block pores, capillaries, and micro-cracks up to 0.4 mm.
Applied as a heavy-bodied slurry via brush, spray, or dry-shake broadcast, the active chemicals migrate deep into the concrete matrix through osmotic pressure. The crystalline network remains dormant in dry environments and reactivates whenever moisture is reintroduced, providing continuous, lifelong self-healing performance.

Key Features

Active Osmotic Migration: Catalytic chemicals migrate up to 100 mm into concrete pores, becoming an integral component of the concrete matrix rather than a peelable surface membrane.

Dual-Directional Resistance: Withstands up to 1.2 MPa of water pressure from either the positive (water entry) or negative (counter-pressure) face.

Autonomous Self-Healing: Reacts with incoming water over the structure's service life to autonomously seal hairline cracks up to 0.4 mm.

Vapor Permeability: Maintains structural breathability, preventing vapor trapping, blister formation, and internal delamination.

Aggressive Chemical Durability: Protects internal reinforcing steel and concrete against sulfate attacks, dilute acids, sewage, and chloride intrusion (pH range 3-11 continuous, 2-12 intermittent).

Application Areas

Below-Grade Structures: Basement retaining walls, elevator pits, foundation slabs, and underground parking decks.

Water & Wastewater Infrastructure: Potable water storage reservoirs (NSF-compatible formulation available), sewage treatment basins, clarifiers, and containment structures.

Civil Engineering: Tunnels, culverts, bridge abutments, and subway transit stations.

Marine Construction: Seawater intake channels, coastal foundations, and pier substructures.

Suitable Substrates

Substrate Compatibility: Cast-in-place structural concrete, precast concrete segments, and high-strength repair mortars. Minimum substrate compressive strength: 20 MPa.

Surface Preparation Standards: Concrete must be structurally sound, free of oil, form-release agents, curing compounds, efflorescence, and laitance.

Moisture Prerequisite: Substrate must be mechanically saturated with clean water to a Surface-Saturated Dry (SSD) condition to activate proper chemical migration.

Application Method

Substrate Profiling: Mechanically scarify, grit-blast, or high-pressure water-jet (150 bar) concrete surfaces to open capillary pores and achieve a CSP 3-5 surface profile. Repair structural defects, tie-holes, and honeycombs with non-shrink structural grout.

Pre-Watering (SSD Condition): Thoroughly saturate the concrete surface with clean water. Remove standing water puddles; the substrate must remain damp at application.

Powder-Water Mixing: Blend dry powder with clean water using a mechanical paddle mixer (400 - 600 RPM) for 3-5 minutes.

Brush/Slurry consistency: Approx. 3 parts powder to 1 part water (by weight).

Spray consistency: Approx. 3.5 parts powder to 1 part water.

Pot Life: 30 minutes at 20 Deg C. Do not retemper with water once stiffening begins.

Slurry Application: Apply in two separate coats using a stiff nylon-bristle masonry brush or industrial mortar spray rig. Apply the second coat while the first coat is still green (tacky, typically 6-24 hours). Cross-application (perpendicular direction) is mandatory.

Moisture Curing: Initiate mist-curing with clean water 24 hours after final coat placement. Keep the coated surface continuously damp for 48 to 72 hours. Protect against rapid wind-drying, freezing temperatures, and direct rain exposure for 48 hours.

Packaging & Storage

Standard Packaging Units:

25 kg multi-wall paper bags with integrated polyethylene moisture barrier.

25 kg heavy-duty injection-molded plastic pails.

1,000 kg bulk jumbo bags available for major infrastructure projects.

Shelf Life: 12 months from production date when stored in unopened, original factory packaging.

Storage Environment: Store indoors in dry conditions off the ground. Prevent exposure to direct sunlight, high humidity, and sub-zero ambient temperatures.

OEM & ODM / Customization

Private Labeling Services: Custom-printed bags or pails featuring distributor branding, compliance certifications, barcode integration, and localized language instructions.

Formulation Tailoring: Customized setting profiles (accelerated set for low-temperature tunneling environments) and specialized packaging weights tailored to regional distribution channels.

Batch Traceability Control: Individual lot numbering and laser-coded manufacturing stamps on every unit to fulfill strict engineering QA/QC compliance audit trails.

Manufacturing & Quality Control

Production Infrastructure: Fully automated dry-mortar blending lines with an annual output capacity of 30,000 metric tons.

Raw Material Verification: Portland cement and quartz aggregates sourced from certified suppliers with strict laser particle size distribution (PSD) auditing. Active chemical catalysts are metered via gravimetric automated dosing systems to keep batch tolerances within +/- 0.5%.

Quality Assurance Testing: Every production batch undergoes rigorous laboratory testing for physical setting times, slurry fluidity, and 28-day compressive/hydrostatic pressure resistance in alignment with ASTM C1572 before warehouse release.

FAQ

Q: Can this coating be applied to the negative (interior) side of a basement wall experiencing active water seepage?

A: Yes. Active running leaks must first be plugged using a rapid-setting hydraulic plugging cement. Once active water streams are completely arrested, apply the crystalline coating over the damp substrate. Active chemicals will migrate inward against the direction of water flow to seal the internal capillary network.

Q: What is the minimum concrete age required prior to product application?

A: Cast-in-place concrete must cure for a minimum of 28 days to accommodate structural shrinkage, although formwork removal and surface prep can proceed earlier. For concrete repair zones, green patches must achieve a minimum compressive strength of 20 MPa.

Q: Can cementitious screeds, tile adhesives, or epoxy flooring be installed directly over this coating?

A: Yes. Portland-cement-based renders, tile mortars, and self-leveling underlayments bond securely to the crystalline surface once fully cured (typically after 7 days). For epoxy or polyurethane resin floor toppings, light mechanical scarification or acid etching is recommended to remove surface laitance and ensure mechanical interlock.

Q: What is your standard Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) for OEM private label manufacturing?

A: Standard MOQ for custom-printed packaging is 5 metric tons (200 units of 25 kg bags/pails). Mixed container loads (FCL) combining multiple waterproofing formulations are fully supported.
