Key Features

Elastomeric Recovery: Maintains elasticity across temperatures ranging from minus 20 degrees Celsius to plus 80 degrees Celsius, preventing membrane rupture under thermal expansion and contraction of concrete substrates.

Vapor Permeability: Breathable micro-structure allows trapped moisture vapor within the substrate to escape, eliminating blistering and delamination common with solvent-based systems.

Seamless Monolithic Application: Eliminates vulnerable lap joints, seams, and detailing failures inherent in pre-formed sheet membranes.

Environmental Compliance: Water-based chemistry emits near-zero hazardous air pollutants (HAPs), complying with SCAQMD Rule 1113 and EU Directive 2004/42/EC.

Substrate Compatibility: Chemically bonds directly to alkaline substrates without requiring specialized solvent primers in standard application conditions.

Application Areas

Exposed & Non-Exposed Roofs: Flat concrete roofs, metal roof deck restoration, and podium roofs.

Podium Decks & Balconies: Intermediate waterproofing layers beneath tile beds, screeds, or pedestrian pavers.

Wet Rooms & Bathrooms: Interior wet areas, shower recesses, and commercial kitchens prior to ceramic tiling.

Subterranean Retaining Walls: Positive-side vertical and horizontal foundation waterproofing below grade.

Suitable Substrates

Cured Concrete: Minimum compressive strength 25 MPa, moisture content less than 8 percent.

Cementitious Renders & Screeds: Sound, trowel-finished surfaces free of laitance.

Metal Decks: Galvanized steel and primed structural steel (requires anti-corrosion metal primer).

Existing Built-Up Roofs (BUR) / Modified Bitumen: Sound, clean, dry, and primed with an acrylic base coat.

Application Method

Step 1: Substrate Preparation -> Step 2: Primer Application -> Step 3: Detail Reinforcement -> Step 4: Base Coat -> Step 5: Embedding Mesh (Optional) -> Step 6: Top Coat

Substrate Preparation: Shot-blasting, grinding, or high-pressure water jetting to remove oil, grease, curing compounds, and loose laitance. Repair honeycombs and surface voids with polymer mortar.

Priming: Apply a 1:3 water-diluted coat of the polymer emulsion or a dedicated penetrating primer at a consumption rate of 0.15 kg per square meter.

Detail Reinforcement: Apply a heavy stripe coat (0.5 kg per square meter) into internal corners, drains, and pipe penetrations, embedding a non-woven polyester reinforcement fabric while wet.

Body Coats: Apply the product in two cross-directional coats using an airless spray machine, roller, or heavy-duty brush. Maintain a wet film thickness (WFT) of 0.5 mm per coat to achieve a dry film thickness (DFT) of greater than or equal to 1.2 mm overall.

Curing Protection: Protect from rain, frost, and foot traffic for at least 24 hours post-application.

Packaging & Storage

Standard Packaging:

20 kg plastic pails

250 kg high-density polyethylene (HDPE) drums

1,200 kg Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBC)

Storage Conditions: Store in original, unopened containers in a dry, frost-free environment between plus 5 degrees Celsius and plus 35 degrees Celsius.

Shelf Life: 12 months from the date of production. Do not stack pallets more than 2 high.

OEM & ODM / Customization

Formulation Tailoring: Viscosity, thixotropic index, drying rate, and elongation parameters can be adjusted to match regional climate conditions (e.g., tropical high-humidity vs. temperate climates).

Color Matching: Standard colors include white, light gray, and dark gray. RAL color matching is available for bulk orders exceeding 5 metric tons.

Private Labeling: Full customization of HDPE pails, drums, and IBC labels with client logos, technical data sheets in local languages, and barcode compliance.

Manufacturing & Quality Control

Production Capacity: Two automated reaction vessels with a combined daily output of 45 metric tons.

Dispersion Process: High-speed Cowles dissolvers paired with rotor-stator homogenizers ensure uniform pigment and filler dispersion down to a Hegman fineness of less than 50 micrometers.

In-Process Quality Control (IPQC):

Raw material incoming inspection (viscosity, pH, solid content of polymer emulsions).

Batch sampling tested for density, Brookfield viscosity, and application leveling before discharge.

Finished Goods Testing & Certifications: Every production batch undergoes tensile strength, elongation, and low-temperature flexibility testing per ASTM/EN standards before issuance of the Certificate of Analysis (COA). Produced under ISO 9001 Quality Management and ISO 14001 Environmental Management certified facilities, with products meeting CE marking standards where applicable.

FAQ

Q: Can this coating be applied over damp concrete substrates?

A: The concrete substrate moisture content must not exceed 8 percent. Applying over saturated concrete traps vapor, leading to blistering when ambient temperatures rise.

Q: Is reinforcement mesh mandatory across the entire roof surface?

A: For standard expansive roof slabs, full reinforcement with non-woven polyester fabric is recommended. For vertical walls and low-stress areas, reinforcement is only required at joints, cracks, and corners.

Q: What is the minimum application temperature?

A: Application should not proceed if ambient or substrate temperatures drop below plus 5 degrees Celsius or exceed plus 35 degrees Celsius, or if relative humidity exceeds 85 percent.

Q: How does this product perform under standing (ponded) water?

A: The formulation is tested for continuous water immersion. However, structural designs should incorporate adequate slopes (1 percent to 2 percent) to prevent prolonged ponding exceeding 48 hours.
